The purpose of this blog is to showcase the skills that I have gained while taking Weather and Society 341. Over the course of the semester I will post daily weather updates indicating what is happening in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

East winds
Well it's raining here in Eau Claire. 38 degrees and some cold rain make it feel kinda chilly. Nimbostratus clouds and this east wind are the culprit of this rain which is good for me since water levels have been so low. Hopefully some of this water reaches the Menominee river to start that walleye run. By the looks of the map below, it seems as if this rain will reach the marinette area or at least the watershed above it. Not very windy and now that I think of it. This precipitation might be classified as a light drizzle due to the high visibility. Make sure and pack your umbrella!
