The purpose of this blog is to showcase the skills that I have gained while taking Weather and Society 341. Over the course of the semester I will post daily weather updates indicating what is happening in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

On a Tuesday.
Well it's currently 37 degrees in Eau Claire today. Hopefully it gets a little warmer so them walleyes will start moving! But we are already at the daily low so it can only get warmer from here, all the way up to 50 actually. Slight winds out of the east may give us some precipitation later in the day. I call your attention to the map below to test your geography skills. Even if you don't know anything about weather what can you tell from the map? You can see that distinct line across America called a stationary front and the warmer temperatures below that line while the colder are above. But what else is pretty much only below the line? Heavy rain and storms! That's because the warm air rises into the atmosphere to create those nimbus clouds!
